15th of May -  Tres Hombres left Portsmouth and is on her way to Oostend in Belgium. There she will be participating in the "Oostend voor Anker" festival next weekend. During this festival we will have "open ship" and you are welcome to visit Tres Hombres and her crew.

Tres Hombres is on her way to Portsmouth! After a short stop near the Isle of Wight she will arrive the 11th of May in Gun Warf Quay Portsmouth. She carries a presious cargo of chocolate, sugar cane molasses, wine, coffee and rum! 

5 th of May 2013, Tres Hombres is anchored at Brixham, UK!

29nd April 2013, Tres Hombres is anchored at Charlestown, UK!

28nd March 2013, Tres Hombres wil arrive in the Azores soon!

22nd March 2013, Tres Hombres wil set sail to the Azores soon!

14th March 2013, Tres Hombres has arrived in bermuda!

3th March 2013, A few more days and  Tres  Hombres will be in Bermuda!

The German producer of the effective and strong windgenerators, Superwind helps the Tres Hombres. Because of another boat damaging the Tres Hombres, which was anchored, the blades of one of the windgenerators broke. Those windgenerators are the most important source of energie of the Tres Hombres and thus of big importance. Superwind immediatly wanted to help us out and sends 3 new blades to the ship in the Caribean. www.superwind.com

With twenty sails set she must look like a phantom ship from a distance, clipping along 5 knots with force 2 on the beau fort scale. Down wind sailin,g now for 5 days in a row, yes these are the trade winds. Today, Saturday, is the ships general cleaning day. This morning the ship is turned inside out and got a scrub. Maintenance is going on in the rigging and on deck. The people off watch are not in their bunks, but read a book on deck and enjoy some smooth music. This afternoon Joel caught our 4th Dorado fish, which he named Dora. She had been swimming around the ship for halve a day and became his pet. Another present from Neptune, Dora had 4 fishes in her stomach. Tomorrow Sunday is a rest day. We plan to have a beachparty on deck, with a barbecue. Dorado's make a good steak!

The Sail Freighter Tres Hombres
 
Ambassador of a new fleet of sustainable hybrid sailing vessels ( fairtransport )
 
The 32 meter brigantine Tres Hombres is in service since December 2009. She maintains a sustainable freight service between: Europe, the Atlantic islands, the Caribbean and America. Besides a cargo capacity of 35 tons, she has accommodation for 5 crew members and 10 trainees.
